Dubai Chamber of Commerce has forged a strategic partnership with Dubai Community Contributions Establishment – JOOD to funnel private sector and community funding directly into sustainable SMEs and social ventures. Signed under Dubai Chambers’ umbrella, the MoU channels contributions through JOOD’s digital platform for compliant collection, management, and disbursement to purpose-driven startups tackling environmental and social challenges.
The collaboration aims to nurture an integrated social entrepreneurship ecosystem, linking impactful projects with essential resources and mentorship to scale operations. Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, stated the tie-up empowers entrepreneurs to drive positive change while advancing Dubai Economic Agenda D33 goals for economic doubling and responsible business.
JOOD CEO Marwan Rashed BinHashim underscored transparency: JOOD’s platforms offer trusted channels for transforming ideas into lasting community benefits, strengthening public-private ties under Dubai Social Agenda 33. Both entities will collaborate on initiatives promoting CSR, innovation, and inclusion, targeting SMEs that blend profitability with purpose.
This aligns with Dubai’s vision as a global leader in sustainable development, where SMEs represent 99% of businesses and key economic drivers. The MoU facilitates access to networks, funding, and governance support, fostering ventures in green tech, social services, and ethical commerce amid D33’s innovation push.
